Did you know? In 1999 the City became regulated under the Clean Water Act to help improve stormwater quality and protect watersheds, rivers, streams, and drinking water resources.
The City is regulated and permitted by the Department of Natural Resources to operate our storm drain system. This permit requires the City to establish a program to reduce pollutants through public education, community involvement, the implementation of Best Management Practices (BMPs), and the reduction of illicit discharges of pollution.
Wentzville's Stormwater Management Program works with citizens, businesses, and property owners to increase awareness of stormwater issues and promote private stormwater management efforts.
